Do you want to teach your Boe-Bot or ActivityBot Robot new tricks, like playing fetch? Our Gripper Kit adds pick-up and carry capability to your robot at the right price. The Gripper features parallel plates that open, clamp onto and lift objects all with one cleverly utilized Parallax Standard Servo. Since the Gripper's servo plugs right into a servo port on the robot's development board, no additional battery pack is needed. The lightweight but sturdy aluminum, brass and plastic Gripper hardware weighs less than 7 ounces.

This kit uses QTI infrared emitter/receiver modules to easily enhance the line-following capability of your Boe-Bot, ActivityBot, or Arduino Shield-Bot robot. Mount three or four sensors underneath the chassis, and adjust the position to detect lines of different widths. Learning to use the QTI is easy with the illustrated instructions and example BASIC Stamp, C, or Arduino code in the Downloads and Documentation section below. This kit includes all the circuit and sensor hardware you need to add QTIs to your Parallax small robot.

Ping))) Ultrasonic Distance Sensor
Our PING)))™ ultrasonic sensor provides an easy method of distance measurement. This sensor is perfect for any number of applications that require you to perform measurements between moving or stationary objects.
Interfacing to a microcontroller is a snap. A single I/O pin is used to trigger an ultrasonic burst (well above human hearing) and then "listen" for the echo return pulse. The sensor measures the time required for the echo return, and returns this value to the microcontroller as a variable-width pulse via the same I/O pin.
Provides precise, non-contact distance measurements within a 2 cm to 3 m range
Ultrasonic measurements work in any lighting condition, making this a good choice to supplement infrared object detectors

3 Function Universal Remote
This infrared remote controller is programmable for use with many different brands of televisions and other devices. But, we think it is most fun when used to control your robot! Signals from this remote are compatible with the IR Receiver included in the Boe-Bot, Shield-Bot, and ActivityBot robot kits. Your robot's microcontroller brain can decode the remote's signals, and then drive or blink lights or make sounds in response. Our tutorials and projects show you how.
