Exploring Robotics with Scribbler Robot

Girls and boys delight in programming Scribbler robots to draw amazing things, dance the Hokey Pokey (or other dance routines) flash lights, and complete science and math lessons disguised as fun projects.  The hole in the center holds a pen to draw, and students must use math to control the robot and create their drawing.

Self-paced middle school STEAM lessons with videos present math topics like calculating diameter, radius, and drawing rectangles, triangles, and other shapes. Science video topics include sound waves, light, LEDs, and electricity.  Use Scribbler to teach coding concepts, and reinforce STEAM for middle school classes, after school programs, or clubs. Classroom competitions are included: maze, line following, drawing, and dance routines are keeping students engaged. No assembly is required for the robot, making it easy to use in multiple sections.

Students create an Invention and explore computer and technology concepts with the Raspberry Pi and plug-in devices in the GrovePi kit. No soldering required.

With the comprehensive middle school STEM curriculum, they learn about the Internet of Things (IOT) and the Engineering Design Process. They can invent weather stations, pet feeders, locker alarms, and explore fun ways to collect data for science experiments such as monitoring plant growth or flying a weather balloon with a camera and the plug-in electronics in this kit.

The Scratch language is introduced on the Raspberry Pi and then used to connect and control each device. Exploring Autonomous Vehicles with mBot Robot

Self-driving vehicles will be on the road soon. Students can use a fun robot to learn the foundations of this new technology and the science and engineering behind it. This course explores physical science and engineering design using a robot as an autonomous vehicle. Students will be engaged in coding, problem based learning, and critical thinking as they learn how to control this small robot using Scratch block-based coding.

mBot is a STEAM education robot for beginners, that makes teaching and learning robot coding simple and fun. Students learn coding with Scratch drag and drop language. While working through the challenges, they will apply math and science knowledge and skills.
